Nigeria Bans Gay and Lesbian Relationship

So many urgent and serious situations which has befell on Nigeria has been undoubtedly regarded as a minor problem as compared to the Gay and Lesbian sexual relationships.
This issue as it appears seems to be of more importance as it is believed that it is against the culture, tradition and value system of the nation. Therefore the diplomatic hysteria that heralded the passage of law outlawing gay marriage-cum relationships by the senate is unwarranted.
The senate unanimously voted on November 29 outlawing public displays of affection between gay and lesbian couples, and has even passed out a 14 year jail term for any person involved in same sex marriage and a 10 year jail term for persons who abets or aids such unions.

The US has gone as far as announcing a $3 million Global Equality funds to support civil society organizations working for the rights of lesbians, gays and bisexuals persons in Nigeria and other countries, but this has been regarded as interference into the deemed laws which was made by the government in the interest of its citizens.
During the latest senate meeting it was stated that what is good for the US and other western nations may be bad for Nigeria as such the US should not use the bait of aids or grants to induce the country to trade its indigenous value system for theirs that is repulsive to local sense, it was also noted that not all the states in the US support gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, the US should worry about their own situation instead of trying to fix others.
Being the latest country to move against the Gay, Lesbian relations, Nigeria is hoping that this wont affect the nations relationship with the United States.
