Nigerian President Battles Terrorism


The Northern parts of Nigeria are still in terror and chaos following the constant attacks by the notorious terrorist group by the name 'Boko Haram'. Following the last few attacks that occured in November which involved series of explosions in Bauchi State, and parts of Damaturu leaving an estimate of over 180 casualties, with 170 dead and the rest fatally injured, these has got the state dwellers terrified and fleeing for their lives.

Due to the state of terrorism in the country, over 921 Billion Naira has been voted for the security agencies in 2012.
President Goodluck Jonathan has made it clear that he is unhappy with the current state of synergy among some security agencies, in respects to this situation, the reports made available for the president has suggested that some officers, who are in charge of sensitive commands do not know their jobs. This was proved to be true when a captured leader of Boko Haram escaped from custody.
President Goodluck Jonathan has promised that before january the issue of this Boko Haram will be a thing of the past. This entails that the president intends to overhaul the security in some key agencies, due to the fact that the heads of agencies and top security officers are already infected.
Moreover, with the arrest and an ongoing trial of a senator, it is now clear that this terrorists group are sponsored by top and influential Nigerians.
